May 12, 2011 - CareerAthletes.com now provides community members the capability to create individual public profiles to showcase their attributes to anyone online.  Public profiles are branded toward the athletic department of each member, further expanding on the pride and commitment of being a student-athlete.  With more than 90,000 community members, this addition has been added to the network to allow individuals to differentiate themselves as a current or former student-athlete when looking to build their professional network and/or apply for job opportunities.   

Only 4 percent of college graduates were collegiate athletes, and making a public profile allows community members to showcase their work-ethic, skill set and traits to everyone, not just Career Athletes members.  For years, employers have strived to hire individuals with characteristics that parallel being a student-athlete.  Now, Career Athletes members are able to use their public profile to stay ahead in the game of networking and searching for careers.  With the clutter surrounding the internet, this beneficial addition helps student-athletes standout both on paper and online.  It also allows members to include their public profile link anywhere, including email signatures, resumes, business cards, networking sites etc.
